uvu.life is a draft pilot site published by the proposing party so that two proposals now before Utah Valley University, their complete commercial terms, and the conflict of interest behind them can be read by anyone rather than circulated privately. It will be replaced by the real thing if, and only if, the university decides to proceed.
Provenance and standing. This page is part of a proposal package prepared by Clear Companies for submission through Utah Valley University's Office of Sponsored Programs to the Utah Higher Education Research Funding Pilot (NOFO HERFP-2026-01) and the Utah AI Moonshot Program. As of September 9, 2026 no agreement exists, no award has been made, no university funds are committed, and no institution has approved the use of any program name or mark.
No university logo, wordmark, seal, monogram, mascot, or other brand asset appears anywhere on this page. References to Utah Valley University, Utah State University, Weber State University, USU Extension, and the Utah System of Higher Education are descriptive references to the subject of the proposals.
Each node page is set in the corresponding institution's published brand colors, taken from that institution's own public brand pages: UVU Green and UVU Silver; Aggie Blue, USU Gray and Sky Blue; Wildcat Purple, University Gray, Purple Cloud and Lovely Lilac. Those colors belong to those institutions. They are used here in an internal draft to illustrate how a node would sit inside each institution's existing visual system, without permission and without any claim of endorsement. No public use of these colors, or of the domain names below, will occur without written approval from the institution concerned and from its marketing office.
The domain names uvu.life, usu.life, and wsu.life incorporate institutional acronyms. Those acronyms are the institutions' marks. These pages are internal drafts illustrating a proposed architecture and are not published under those domains; no public use of any of these names will occur without written permission from the institution concerned, and each institution's marketing and trademark office would need to approve any program name before launch. Naming here is a placeholder for a decision that belongs to the universities.
Conflict of interest. The founder of Clear Companies, the proposed industry partner and subawardee, is named as senior personnel on both applications and chairs a UVU industry advisory board. That is a real conflict of interest, not a potential one, and it is disclosed here rather than in response to a question. A written disclosure and management plan is filed with the applications and names him in full. Under it: no line of either grant budget names him personally; his compensation comes from Clear Companies in the ordinary course as its founder, and Clear's subaward is priced against a documented commercial rate card subject to independent institutional review before execution; he has no role in selecting the subawardee, negotiating its terms, or approving its invoices; he supervises no university-employed personnel on either award; he files a written recusal from any advisory board discussion of this project; and an independent evaluator reports to the Dean rather than to the project.
Photographs. The aerial photograph on the network page shows the Canopy campus in Lindon, Utah, and the Clear building there. It is Clear Companies' own image of its own premises. No university, campus, or person other than the industry partner is depicted.
Enrollment and institutional figures. Fall 2025 figures published by the Utah System of Higher Education and the institutions themselves: UVU 48,670; Weber State 33,293; Utah State 29,831; USHE system total 216,116. Weber State credential figures are for the 2024 to 2025 academic year. Statute references are to Utah Code 53H-8-211 and to SB 275 as amended in February 2026.
